Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro pictures leak ahead of IFA launch
The Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro has leaked ahead of an IFA announcement and we have a better idea of what will appear on the company’s next smartwatch.
The Huawei Watch GT2 and GT2e have been smash hits, promoting Huawei to second place in the smartwatch makers ranks for Q2 2020.
And hot-on-the-heels of the oddly shaped Huawei Watch Fit, it seems the GT 2 Pro will bring more options to the table.
Turkish Huawei-watchers HuaweiAliesi have spotted what seems to be retail listings for the new device.
There’s pictures and specs, which reveal two sizes and some high end features.
It doesn’t look like a massive upgrade from the GT2e, but there’s a titanium case, which means it should be significantly more premum and stylush. The GT2e was a pretty sporty looking smartwatch, so this should suit people eyeing up the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3.
On-board is GPS and an SpO2 sensor, as well as the heart rate monitor.
And it retails the two-week battery life that makes the Huawei Watch GT2 such a compelling prospect. When you consider that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 can manage just two days, you can see why the Huawei’s smartwatches have been so successful.
And there is a speaker, which hints that we could see the arrival of the company’s voice assistant Celia. We previously reported Celia was coming to Huawei watches, but with no microphone listed on the spec sheet, the jury is still out on that.
Essentially what we have is an upgraded design, that largely follows the specs of the original Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro.
There are rumors that Huawei will launch a Mate Watch, but that could come in October along with new smartphones.
We’ll report on the official announcement if it happens at IFA.
