Huawei nova, nova 9 Pro appear in live shots, listings

Huawei will introduce the nova 9 series on September 23 but two of the phones from the lineup already are online. The nova 9 Pro popped up on TENAA with its model number RTE-AL00, with a full specs sheet.

It also appeared in live photos right alongside the vanilla nova 9, and they look a lot like the Honor 50 series, raising valid questions did both companies ever truly split from one another. Rumors also claim they will share a lot of specs, including the chipset, the size, and the battery.

The Huawei nova 9 Pro will have a 6.72” screen with a 120 Hz screen refresh rate and 300 Hz touch sampling rate, a leakster added to the already known specs on TENAA. The main camera is said to be 50 MP, while the other three snappers will have 8 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP sensors behind the lens. The two cameras at the front will be 32 MP + 32 MP, likely the main one will have an ultra-wide snapper for the company.

The camera department might make the nova 9 Pro different from the Honor 50 Pro, but both phones share the exact same footprint, down to the last millimeter. They also share the same 2.4 GHz CPU, but claims are Huawei will yet again drop the 5G connectivity and will limit the Snapdragon 778G chipset to LTE in an attempt to be able to actually use modern-day SoC.

The Huawei nova 9 might be a rebranded Honor 50, given the fact it is said to have a 6.57” screen, a 4,300 mAh battery and 66W fast charging. It will also have the castrated chipset, but we’re yet to have confirmation on any of that info.
