HP’s new ENVY 17 is a beefy creative laptop with 10th Gen Intel chips

HP announced the new ENVY 17 today, a laptop that’s built to get creative tasks done on the go. An evolution over the previous ENVY 17, this refresh comes packed in a smaller body but still includes a 17-inch screen. Inside, there are plenty of beefy specs to back up creative workflows as well.

The screen on the new ENVY 17 is a 4K panel with an 86 percent screen-to-body ration. That gives the device an overall smaller body than its predecessor. Backing up that screen is up to 10th Gen Intel Core processors, which should give you plenty of power to work with. For graphics-heavy tasks, you can also equip the ENVY 17 with NVIDIA MX330 graphics.

One of the bigger additions to this year’s ENVY 17 is a revamped keyboard. HP calls it an “all-in-one” keyboard, and it comes with dedicated function keys for mic muting, the camera shutter, fingerprint reader, power button, and HP command center. Rounding things out is support for Alexa and Cortana voice services.

The new HP Envy 17 is expected to hit stores starting this week at a starting price of $1,250. It’s currently listed at Best Buy and should be available directly from HP soon.
