HP’s new EliteDesk and ProDesk PCs are built for the hybrid workforce

HP announced four new PCs built for the hybrid workforce today, the EliteDesk 805 G8 Desktop Mini PC, the EliteDesk 805 G8 Small Form Factor PC, the HP ProDesk 405 G8 Desktop Mini PC, and the ProDesk Small Form Factor PC. All of the new PCs run Windows 10 Pro and are designed to power multiple displays. Each of the PCs will start shipping this August.

Every one of the new PCs has HP Wolf Security for Business, which protects PCs and data from threats using “always-on, always-acting, resilient defense.”

The HP EliteDesk 805 G8 Desktop Mini PC runs on an AMD Ryzen PRO 5000 Desktop processor or an AMD PRO 565. It comes with and either integrated AMD Radeon Graphics or discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics. It can be mounted behind a monitor to save space or inside an HP Mini-in-One 24 display.

The EliteDesk 805 G8 Small Form Factor PC also runs on an AMD Ryzen PRO Series desktop processor or an AMD PRO 565 but has a longer list of graphics options. It can come with integrated AMD Radeon graphics or discrete AMD Radeon R7 430, AMD Radeon R7 430, AMD Radeon RX 550X, NVIDIA Quadro P400, or NVIDIA Quadro P400 graphics.

The ProDesk 405 G8 Desktop Mini PC runs on either a Ryzen 5000 Series desktop processor, AMD Athlon 4000 Series desktop processor, or AMD PRO 565. It only has an option for integrated AMD Radeon graphics.

The ProDesk 405 G8 Small Form Factor PC has either a Ryzen 5000 Series desktop processor or AMD PRO 565 CPU. It has options for either integrated AMD Radeon graphics or Radeon R7 430, Radeon R7 430, or Radeon RX 550X discrete graphics.

HP has not released pricing details at this time, but it promises them as devices become closer to their availability.
