How to farm infected trophies quickly in Dying Light 2
The crafting system in Dying Light 2 isn’t particularly complex, but it does make use of a wide range of materials and other resources. Filed under other resources are Infected Trophies, which mostly you’ll need to upgrade your blueprints at a Craftmaster. Though some mods will also require them.
Infected Trophies come in different “rarities” as well, with the higher grades dropping from more difficult enemies. Makes sense. But mostly you’ll want a truckload of the lower tier ones to upgrade blueprints, and that means killing a ton of zombies.
Fortunately, there’s a fairly efficient method you can employ to farm these trophies right from the early stages of the game. As an additional bonus, you’ll also be able to get your hands on a good stash of other crafting materials, valuables, and earn some combat XP at the same time.

If you’re at a stage where you have these items already in your inventory or you have the blueprints to make them, this is what I recommend equipping:
- Molotovs
- UV Bars (and/or the UV flashlight if you have it)
- As much medicine as you can carry (military medkits are best if you have those)
- Your four strongest single-handed melee weapons

If you’re going into a Dark Hollow, make sure to have some UV Shrooms or Immunity Boosters equipped to your healing inventory. They’re littered with chemicals and as such your immunity will tank.
Once you’re tooled up it’s time to go hunting. But make sure it’s the daytime before hitting the streets. It also doesn’t matter which level the location is, you can clear out a level 1 location in the later game ridiculously easy but it will still drop those important Infected Trophies.

It’s precisely because of this you want to visit during the day. And since there’s a couple outside the Bazaar in Old Villedor, even early on you have an easy place to hit. It doesn’t have to be this one, you can enter any of these locations on both parts of the map and the results will be the same. Just always remember to enter during the day.
As soon as you crouch down and enter you’ll immediately be faced with enemies who have been awoken by your noisy presence and will all start to attack. This is where items like the UV bars and the UV flashlight come into play, as you can use these to give yourself some breathing room to dish out your own damage.
Likewise, tossing a couple of molotovs into the crowd is a good strategy, just make sure you don’t get too close else you’ll take damage yourself. Otherwise, just start swinging. Using melee attacks on burning enemies or those being affected by the UV light will soon dispense with them.

When they’re all dead, loot the building of its materials first as often this will provide enough time for the zombie bodies to de-spawn leaving little loot bags behind for you to pick up. It’s just a little quicker than searching every single body and keep popping your survivor sense to make sure you didn’t miss any.
Many of the enemies in these locations will drop Infected Trophies and ultimately it should only take a couple of minutes to clear the room and grab all the loot. Then you can either move on to the next location or go back to a rest spot, sleep until the following morning and go again.
If you choose to go back and sleep until the next day then return, the enemies will have respawned but not all of the loot inside the building, so it’s actually even quicker to clear up, collect the Infected Trophies, and move on. And for maximum speed, you’ll want to target the Forsaken Stores over the Dark Hollows. But both types are loaded up with trophy-dropping infected enemies.

Likewise, you can head into GRE Anomaly locations at night or if you’re brave enough (and well geared enough) try taking down some Volatiles in one of the harder GRE dark zone locations.

Intel, AMD reportedly stopped exports of CPUs to Russia due to invasion

TSMC, who also makes some of Russia’s own chips, is also said to be complying. The news, if accurate, could severely hurt Russia’s economy as companies would not be able to add, replace, or…
