LG CX OLEDSource: LG Electronics

Black Friday presents an ideal opportunity to purchase a new 4K TV, with hefty savings on the usual going rates no matter your budget. The flagship LG CX has been a favorite throughout this year, as the latest in its premium OLED series, delivering one of the best viewing experiences money can buy.

There are numerous reasons to have the LG CX as your next 4K TV, especially with Black Friday savings dropping some models to their lowest prices yet. The TV produces unmatched picture quality, with vibrant colors and ultra-deep blacks down to the OLED’s per-pixel precision. It’s also among the few 4K TVs with the latest advanced gaming features, including 4K at 120Hz and variable refresh rate (VRR) support ideal for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

Here are almost 200 of the absolute BEST Black Friday deals available

But that leaves demand for the LG CX at an all-time high, and depending on your location, tracking down specific models may prove challenging. That’s especially true for the entry-level 55-inch model, which has undercut the 48-inch in the current market, now hovering around $1,399.

But you don’t need to miss out on these Black Friday deals, and here’s where you can secure an LG CX OLED in time for the holidays.

LG CX OLED

The LG CX is one of the best 4K TVs money can buy, building on the foundation of a striking OLED panel with deep blacks and vibrant colors. It’s also ideal for next-generation gaming, with HDMI 2.1 bringing all the features to best leverage your PS5 or Xbox Series X. It’s at an all-time low right now, if you can find one.

Where to find LG CX in stock this Black Friday

With significant savings on the LG CX series in the lead-up to Black Friday, every size of LG’s flagship 4K OLED has hit its lowest price we’ve ever seen. Those savings, coupled with increased demand due to current world events and next-generation console launches, have seen limited LG CX stock remaining among many retailers. The 55-inch and 65-inch models, the two panels with the best value and discounts over Black Friday, are the two you’ll find hardest to secure in late November.

We’ve rounded up the LG CX stock available right now, including current prices at top retailers.

Best Buy still stocks all LG CX sizes, although with stock dependent on your location. And even if delivery may not be available at this time, Best Buy also has stock tied up in stores ready for curbside pickup, if luck happens to be on your side. If not, check back and refresh frequently, as some stores are expected to restock shortly.

Other retailers with LG CX stock remaining aren’t offering the same deals we saw earlier this week, although keep your eyes peeled. We expect many retailers to extend their sales through the weekend and into Cyber Monday, so keep revisiting this page for the latest.

Best LG CX alternatives for Black Friday

The LG CX remains a leader in its price bracket, consistently topping the best 4K TVs for Xbox Series X and PS5, as well as highly capable for media consumption. But those hungry for Black Friday deals today can still find savings on TVs with similar visuals and capabilities if the CX isn’t available in your region.

It’s best to approach a 4K TV purchase considering what role it will fill in your home. While some displays perform best with handle video playback, bring out the best from movies and TV, buyers who play video games should look out for particular features. With HDMI 2.1 features like 4K resolution at 120Hz and variable refresh rate (VRR) support fundamental to the Xbox Series X and PS5, you’ll want to look out for these future-proofing inclusions.

Here are some of the best LG CX alternatives available with discounts this Black Friday.

For a slightly more affordable alternative to the flagship LG CX, there’s also the BX series. The main differentiator is the price, with the entry-level 55-inch $200 cheaper than the equivalent CX right now. It has near-identical specifications, including 4K HDR visuals up to 120Hz, with VRR and ALLM support. You also get all the OLED benefits, just with a slight degradation in picture quality and lower brightness.

The high-end Samsung QLED lineup is your best OLED alternative, and discounts on its Q80T series are great for Xbox Series X and PS5. These panels trump most LCDs, coupled with HDMI 2.1 support for the full 4K, 120Hz experience with VRR and ALLM. While since superseded by the Q90T, with more dimming zones and improved HDR, you’re getting further savings on this older design for minor tradeoffs. But you’ll likely want the 55-inch or larger, with the 49- and 50-inch models limited to 60Hz panels.

OLED panels consistently deliver the best picture quality, and Vizio’s latest range poses those perks for less. Its newest 4K TVs provide all the technology’s fundamental benefits, with perfect, rich blacks, strong contrast, and vibrant colors. It’s one of the cheapest modern OLEDs out there, with HDMI 2.1 support for 4K at 120Hz with VRR and ALLM. But it has issues affecting VRR right now at 4K 120Hz, which the company promises to address with a future update. While it’s no CX, it’s a strong alternative that costs less.
