Here’s when you can try the early access test for Diablo 2: Resurrected
Blizzard Entertainment shared an update on the exact timeframe players can get early access to the open beta for Diablo 2: Resurrected on Tuesday. Players who have preordered Diablo 2: Resurrected or Diablo: Prime Evil Collection will be able play in the beta on August 13 at 10: 00 a.m. PT and will run through August 17.
For players who haven’t preordered, the open beta will be available on August 20 and will be available until August 23 at 10:00 a.m. PT. Blizzard is using this early access test and subsequent open beta to gather continued feedback and data on what needs to be addressed ahead of the game’s planned launch on September 23.
This news comes as Activision-Blizzard is facing a lawsuit alleging sexist workplace practices and systemic abusive behavior that went unpunished. This was followed shortly with the resignation of Blizzard CEO J. Allen Brack, who was named in the lawsuit. Blizzard Entertainment is now being co-led by Jen Oneal and Mike Ybarra.
Both the early access test and the open beta will feature five classes and the game’s first two acts. Some of the bug fixes from earlier testing won’t be included in this build but will be fixed in the final game. The final game is also planned to include cross-progression on at least some platforms.
Diablo 2: Resurrected is coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch.
