Here’s Samsung’s creative marketing for its foldable phones across the world

Samsung was the first company that had success in the foldable smartphone segment. It was the first company that made foldables a mass-market product. While foldable phones such as the Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Fold have their own charm, Samsung’s creative ways of marketing them across the world are also worth watching.

In an official newsroom post, Samsung has shown off how it displayed and marketed its foldable smartphones across the globe. In addition to displaying the eye-catching design and all the features of the foldables, Samsung also launched various creative marketing campaigns that not only promote the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 but also help generate interest among the public.

In Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in Brazil, Samsung installed a unique large-sized Galaxy Z Flip 4 phone billboard in four places downtown. The billboard physically folds and unfolds, just like the device itself. Moreover, if you upload a selfie on social media with the hashtag #GalaxyExperienceRJ, the photo shows up on the large out-of-home (OOH) billboards centered around the theme of “Life Seen from the Best Angle.”

Samsung’s marketing was as creative as the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4

Coming to Belgium, Samsung has installed unique Galaxy Z Flip 4-shaped chairs at bus stops. The phones can be used as actual chairs, and this marketing began on August 26. It continued to run for about a month in five different places, including “the luxury street Avenue Louise in Brussels and the street of the Antwerp Opera in Belgium.

In Japan, Samsung showcased the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s water-resistant capability and the FlexCam mode. Placing the phone folded in half inside a tank filled with water, the phone captured a brilliant and imaginative picture showing goldfish flying in the sky. The campaign was a huge success, and it racked up 240,000 likes in 20 days.

On August 22, a purple tram displaying one of the colors of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 ran through Prague in the Czech Republic. The Z Flip’s FlexCam was designed exactly to match the tram’s door, making it appear as if the passengers are subjects being filmed by the phone. Lastly, the post showcases how Samsung marketed its foldable phones in Taiwan. A total of 500 drones were synchronized and formed silhouettes of the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4 at Riyue Tan (Sun Moon Lake) in Taiwan.
