Here’s how to find piglins in the Nether Update for Minecraft
Piglins are one of the new mobs being added to Minecraft as part of the Nether Update. Like hoglins, they are also hostile, but there’s still a trick to it. If you know what to do, piglins can become a valuable ally for players in the Nether. Before you do that, however, you have to find them. Here’s what you need to do.
How to find piglins in the Nether Update
This is because a piglin’s primary source of food is the same as any player planning on staying in the Nether: hoglins. As is smart, this means most piglins choose to stay close to wherever hoglins reside. if you’ve found a crimson forest, your chance of finding either hoglins or piglins is pretty similar to each other. In fact, you can actually spot piglin hunting parties taking down a few hoglins for food, which is interesting.
One thing to keep in mind about piglins, however, is that they are hostile mobs. Like hoglins, they will attack you on sight. Also similar to hoglins, there’s a way to get around this. If you’re planning on tracking down some piglins, make sure you’re wearing at least one piece of gold armor to placate them and their gold obsession.
A happy new family
Piglins and hoglins make up a new hunter and prey dynamic that adds a lot of life to the Nether, where before it was solely monsters seeking to kill you. And both piglins and hoglins provide something useful to the player. While hoglins are useful for breeding and food, piglins are useful for bartering, similar to villagers and their trading. Between hoglins, piglins, and you, there’s almost a happy family there.
