Here’s everything we know (so far) about Ghostwire: Tokyo
During Bethesda’s E3 2019 showcase, one of the games revealed was a new IP called Ghostwire: Tokyo. It’s being developed by Tango Gameworks, with the energetic Ikumi Nakamura initially serving as creative director before stepping away from the title.
Since then, more has been revealed, with some significant footage shown during Sony’s PS5 showcase, the Future of Gaming. We also learned that it’s a timed PS5 console exclusive, though it’s coming to Xbox consoles after a year. Here’s everything we know about Ghostwire: Tokyo so far.
What is Ghostwire: Tokyo?
Ghostwire: Tokyo is a new game from Tango Gameworks shown off during Bethesda’s E3 2019 press conference. Tango Gameworks is a studio founded by Capcom veteran Shinji Mikami in 2010. The studio is known for working on both The Evil Within and The Evil Within 2, and Mikami himself worked on Resident Evil at Capcom.
While there are definitely horror elements, the game is more action-focused than Tango Gameworks’ past titles. It also uses a first-person perspective, with players using magic, melee weapons and more to defeat evil spirits.
