Halo Infinite’s beta now has Spartan bots, and they’re deadly
The Halo Infinite beta has been underway since July 29, and since then, players have tested their mettle against both Marine and ODST AI bots in Arena multiplayer. Both types of bots were fairly competent, although ODST bots were considerably more effective due to their improved accuracy and their occasional use of strafing. Even the ODSTs always lost to players though, largely due to their slow reaction speed and inability to adapt to the creative tactics many players use.
A new type of bot has been added to the Halo Infinite technical preview, though — Spartan bots. These bots have bigger brains and sharper aim than the lower difficulty options, making them very deadly opponents. They also use advanced strafing techniques as well, so players may struggle to track and hit them accurately. Overall, it will be interesting to see how well the Spartan bots perform in matches, and I think it would be pretty cool if they manage to actually win a game.
