In a new interview with The Washington Post, 343 Industries’ Head of Creative Joseph Staten has confirmed that the developer is planning to reveal details about Halo Infinite Season 2 “really soon.”

Titled “Lone Wolves,” Halo Infinite Season 2 is slated to launch in May 2022 and is expected to introduce additional features and pieces of content to Halo Infinite, such as campaign co-op, new maps, and new game modes for players to enjoy. “Really soon, fans are going to be exposed to some of the cool stuff we have going on for Season 2,” said Staten.

This news follows recent fan frustrations over 343 Industries’ poor communication and missing Halo Infinite roadmap, which was supposed to be revealed in January. Many feel that Halo Infinite lacks content and that the game’s customization options are unacceptably shallow, and Halo Infinite’s rampant cheating problem has driven countless players away.

We won’t know how well Halo Infinite’s Season 2 update will address these glaring problems until 343 Industries opens up more about its contents, which we expect will happen as soon as the next couple of weeks based on Staten’s comments. Hopefully Season 2 will bring massive changes and improvements to Halo Infinite, because the game badly needs some.

Halo Infinite’s multiplayer is free to play and is available on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One consoles, and Windows PCs. It’s a ton of fun despite some of its serious issues, and paired with the Halo Infinite campaign, it’s one of the best Xbox games available right now.
