The very first Halo Infinite technical preview is now live, with players who properly signed up for the test now accessing Slayer against Bots, a first for the Halo franchise. Unfortunately, we’re seeing many players having issues connecting to matches, including some of our own staff.

Rebooting the application or cold booting your console doesn’t seem to help. We are however seeing some success with players joining the lobby of a friend and then being able to load into matches. One particularly common bug right now says that an update is needed before players can fully download the Halo Infinite technical preview build. Fortunately, this one is solved by simply cold booting your console.

Halo Infinite is currently slated to launch at some point in Holiday 2021 on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC.
