Halo Infinite gets December 8 release date alongside new trailers
During the Gamescom Opening Night Live stream for Gamescom 2021, Microsoft and 343 Industries announced that Halo Infinite will launch on December 8, 2021. This adds more clarity to the previously-specified Holiday 2021 release date. Many (including us) expected Halo Infinite to arrive in late November on the 20th Anniversary of Halo: Combat Evolved’s release, but Microsoft has chosen to launch the game in early December instead.
This news was accompanied by a short trailer that showed off the character backstory of Spartan Agryna, the Spartan-IV who trains new Spartans in Halo Infinite’s Academy mode. You can watch it below. There was also a short trailer that teased a Halo Infinite-themed Xbox Series X as well as a Halo Infinite Limited Edition Xbox Elite Controller Series 2.
Overall, it’s great to finally get a release date for Halo Infinite, although it’s still frustrating that Halo Infinite won’t have co-op campaign or Forge at launch. Despite how disappointing this is, though, we think the game is looking great and we can’t wait to get our hands on it in December. How are you feeling about Halo Infinite? Let us know.

Why Saints Row is a reboot: ‘Those were games of a time’
The new Saints Row game is coming out in February 2022, but it’s not a sequel to the over-the-top Saints Row 4. It’s a reboot, and considering that you went to hell in the last game, maybe it makes sense to start over.
