Halo Infinite allegedly features weapon charms for guns in multiplayer

Halo Infinite is bringing an open campaign that allows players to explore a Halo Ring. Meanwhile, the multiplayer portion is free-to-play and supports 120 FPS on Xbox Series X. Now, it appears that players will be able to customize their guns in Halo Infinite multiplayer with charms.

Resetera user Coolduderedux purchased the Mega Construx Halo Infinite Energy Sword which came with a promotional code to be redeemed for a reward in Halo Infinite. When redeemed, the user states that it unlocked a weapon charm for the game. Reddit user Specialk961978 discovered that one of the promotional Nerf toys grants the NERF MA40 weapon skin and charm.

The addition of charms is hardly surprising, as they are a nifty way of adding customization so players can tweak their weapons how they see fit.

Halo Infinite was delayed to 2021 and series veteran Joseph Staten is now in a leadership position on the project. Several studios are assisting with the development of the game, including Certain Affinity. The soundtrack is being composed by three different composers: Gareth Coker, Curtis Schweitzer and Joel Corelitz.
