Halo 5 gets new REQ pack, all proceeds go towards coronavirus relief

Halo developer 343 Industries has unveiled a brand new REQ pack for Halo 5: Guardians titled the Relief and Recovery REQ Pack. All proceeds from purchases of the pack will go towards GlobalGiving’s Coronavirus Relief Fund. This organization aims to combat the detrimental impact that COVID-19 is having on communities all around the world by providing relief and protection supplies such as ventilators and masks, as well as important necessities like food. You can learn more about GlobalGiving’s mission here. This pack costs $10, and is available to purchase up until April 30, 2020.

When purchased, the REQ pack will unlock five permanent REQ customization items of at least Ultra Rare rarity, though they may be Legendary or Mythic as well. In addition, the pack will also contain 10 boost cards that help you level up faster while playing Arena, Warzone, or Warzone Firefight. These cards will be of at least Rare rarity, though they may be higher.

Overall, I think it’s great that Halo fans have this option available to them. COVID-19 is having a very serious impact on the world right now, and this REQ pack incentivizes people to donate towards relief efforts — all while being rewarded in the process. Are you going to be buying one (or more) of these packs? Let me know.

Halo 5: Guardians is available now on Xbox One for $20, and the Relief and Recovery REQ Pack is $10.
