Grim Fandango and other Double Fine remasters are coming to Xbox

During a livestream to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Full Throttle, Double Fine founder Tim Schafer confirmed to IGN’s Ryan McCaffrey that the remasters of Grim Fandango, Full Throttle, and Day of the Tentacle would be making their way to Xbox.

This makes a lot of sense considering Double Fine was acquired by Microsoft last year and is now a part of Xbox Game Studios. We’ll find out what new game the developer is working on in July when Microsoft reveals what’s in store from its first-party developers on Xbox Series X. Psychonauts 2 has been conspicuously absent, so hopefully we’ll see more of that soon.

If you’re curious as to what these classic adventure remasters look like, they’ve already released on PlayStation 4.

It’s unclear if these remasters are just coming to Xbox One or if they’ll make their way to Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox Series X as well. This will be the first time that any of the aforementioned games release on a Microsoft console.
