Need the sort of tenkeyless mechanical keyboard that’ll become the only keyboard you ever need? That might be the Steelseries Apex Pro TKL keyboard for you, and you can get it on sale for just $157.99 at Amazon right now. This keyboard has been selling for $180 for some time, and it has never ever gone as low as today’s sale. In fact, at other retailers like Best Buy it’s still going for its regular $180 price. The version with a full numpad on the side goes for $200.

While we didn’t review the tenkeyless version, you can check out our full-size Apex Pro review from 2019, which gave the keyboard 5 out of 5 stars. Rich Edmonds said it’s “unlike anything I’ve used before, and I doubt it’ll be beaten, even by future typing platforms with my beloved low-profile switches. If you can stretch your budget to accommodate the price — and you’ve already got a kick-ass gaming PC — I cannot recommend the Apex Pro enough.”

One of the unique and cool features of the Apex Pro, even on the TKL version, is the OLED smart display in the top right. You can use this display as a sort of integrated command center for all of your settings. Adjust different settings on the fly. Without looking up at the computer, opening another piece of software, or tabbing out of whatever game or application you’re using, you can see where everything’s at just on this screen. It even works with third party programs like Spotify or Discord to give you relevant info like what song is playing.

Of course, that’s not all the keyboard has going for it. It’s also built with aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, so it’s powerful and durable and designed to last for years. The included palm rest can help keep your wrists from getting tired after long sessions in front of the PC. Plus, the OmniPoint adjustable mechanical switches give you a rapid response with every keystroke. There’s even a USB pass-through port so you can connect your peripherals like a mouse.
