Google teaser video gives us our best look yet at upcoming Pixel Watch

An official teaser video has provided us with our most in-depth look yet at the design of the Google Pixel Watch.

We’ve known the broad strokes since Google first revealed the smartwatch back at I/O in May, but, until now, the extent of watch faces, strap integrations and how it looked on an actual wrist was relatively unknown.

Ahead of the full unveiling on 6 October, though, there’s now little left to speculate upon – other than perhaps the depth of the bezel’s edge, which has so far been cleverly masked by watch faces with black backgrounds.

Still, the Pixel Watch continues to appear very slick – Apple-like, dare we say.

And with Google’s own Wear OS platform continuing to develop – recently rolling out a significant update to mark the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro – it’s shaping up to be a promising first foray into the market.

Though we know much of the design details now, however, there’s still likely plenty Google will reveal about the software magic debuting on the Pixel Watch; things such as the Fitbit-powered tracking experience, and perhaps integration with the rest of Google’s services, such as Photos.

With a rumored price tag of $349 for the LTE version of the Pixel Watch, it’ll need to have plenty up its sleeve to compete with the likes of the Apple Watch.

All the official details, as we say, will arrive on 6 October, with the smartwatch expected to be available to pre-order following the event ahead of a 4 November release.
