Google Play Store on Android can now download multiple apps simultaneously
As most of you might know, the Google Play Store on Android can download only one application at a time, even if your smartphone or tablet has enough processing power, storage speed, and network speed to download multiple apps at once quickly. This limitation is quite frustrating when you buy a new Android device and download multiple apps as a part of setting up the device. Well, not anymore.
As spotted by 9To5Google, the Play Store on Android can now download up to two applications simultaneously. The latest change reduces the time required for downloading and installing multiple apps at once. The new feature seems to be live on Galaxy and Pixel devices running version 40.6.31 or a newer version of the Play Store.
Sadly, the Play Store still can’t update more than one app at a time, which is quite disappointing, as many apps get updates daily, and the platform takes a lot of time to download all of them due to the limitation. That being said, now that Google has enabled Play Store to download multiple apps simultaneously, it could also upgrade the platform with the ability to update multiple apps at once in the future.
