Google Pixel 4a benchmarked and battery tested

The latest detailed leak pertaining to the unreleased Google Pixel 4a shows the device running different games and benchmarks, painting a very complete image of what to expect from the phone when it finally launches. The video is posted by Cuban YouTube channel TechnoLike Plus, which has a pre-production Pixel 4a in hand.

Gaming is smooth courtesy of a Snapdragon 730 paired to 6GB of RAM – not the most advanced combination around, but not bad either. It’s certainly a step up from the Snapdragon 670 in the Pixel 3a.

As for benchmarks, the Pixel 4a scored 268,973 on AnTuTu (that’s around what a Galaxy Note10 Lite manages, better than a Redmi Note 8 Pro), 2544/6370 on Geekbench 4.4 (single/multi-thread score), which is a bit better than a Galaxy Note10 Lite and slightly worse than a Galaxy A71.

Finally the video goes in depth with battery life, showing the battery info screen on the front. The Google Pixel 4a managed as much as 7 hours and 21 minutes of screen-on time on one occasion and 5 hours and 20 minutes on the other.

The Pixel 4a was originally due for announcement on May 22, but reports suggest it may be delayed until June.

It will have a 5.81-inch FullHD+ OLED screen with a single punch-hole selfie camera, a Snapdragon 730 chipset, 6GB of RAM, 64GB or 128GB of storage and a single 12MP camera on the rear.
