Google Assistant showed off on Galaxy Z Flip 4 using a 3D billboard at Times Square

Google and Samsung are finding ways to collaborate with each other. Last year, Samsung and Google joined hands to co-develop Wear OS 3 for a new generation of smartwatches. Now, Google is continuing its joint ad campaign by highlighting YouTube Music and Google Assistant on the Galaxy Z Flip 4 via a 3D anamorphic billboard at Times Square in New York, USA.

A 3D anamorphic billboard is an advanced billboard that will show the content as if it were jumping at you. We all know that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 comes with a truckload of features, one of which is the Flex Mode, which allows you to flip the phone to 90 degrees and use it as a stand. This mode is great for taking selfies, and that is what is being showcased in the ad featured at Times Square.

In the ad, a dog from Ludacris’ album Word of Mouf attempts to take a picture with a regular phone but fails. As noted by 9To5Google, this isn’t the first time the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s physical capabilities have been emphasized with pets.

Further in the ad, Ludacris then uses Google Assistant to play his track “Stand Up,” which is the song used in an earlier ad. This launches YouTube Music and then asks the Assistant to “take a selfie” to capture hands-free pictures. Apart from this, there are a few more instances where the 3D nature of the billboard is highlighted.

The new way to selfie. Just like that” is the tagline that features in the ad with a link to Samsung.com/GalaxyZFlip4. This awesome promo was developed in partnership with design studio CEKAI and Universal Music Group. You can find this 3D billboard running Google’s ad on Broadway between 40th and 45th Street, on the sides of the New York Marriott Marquis. Check out the ad below.
