Google Assistant now integrates better with Google Contacts

Google has been working on making its products work better together. For example, last month, the company integrated Google Assistant with Google Calendar and Google Tasks so that you can easily create reminders or events within those services using the voice assistant. Now, the company has come up with an updated version of the Google Contacts app, which brings better integration with Google Assistant.

The new Google Contacts app features a card dedicated to Google Assistant. This card contains all the information about the contact that’s associated with the voice assistant. For example, if you tell Google Assistant that a certain contact in your phonebook is your mother, the relationship will be saved to the Google Contacts app in this new card. This will make it easier for you to view and edit the information of a contact that’s associated with Google Assistant.

Apart from relationships, this card can also store birthday and address information. You can either add those details manually by going into the contact, or you can ask Google Assistant to save it for you. This card also has an option called ‘Manage Settings,’ and if you click it, the app will take you to the ‘Your People’ page. It contains all contacts with relationships and allows you to add associations or create a family group within Google’s ecosystem.

Many people on Twitter have been reporting about the arrival of the updated Google Contacts app, which suggests that Google is rolling out the new app to everyone, and you should get it soon too. If your phone hasn’t updated the app automatically by now, try to update the app manually from Play Store.
