Good news, Image Clipper feature now arriving on Galaxy A phones!

The almost-magical Image Clipper feature that debuted with One UI 5.1 on the Galaxy S23 is now available for the mid-range Galaxy A series, or at the very least, the Galaxy A53! Samsung is rolling out a new firmware update for the A53, and the Image Clipper feature, with which users can easily lasso objects from photos to create stickers (and more), is included.

Image Clipper comes to the Galaxy A53 (SM-A536B) in Europe through a new update that users can identify by firmware version A536BXXU5CWD1. A53 users in markets where the update is available should be able to download it via the Settings app on their phones. The official firmware files should also show up in our database momentarily.

Primarily, the Image Clipper feature is an addition to the Gallery app that lets users tap and hold objects in their photos to create new image files or stickers that they can save or share with others. In addition, Image Clipper is also integrated with Samsung Internet, allowing users to easily snap finely-cropped images on webpages with just a few taps of the touch screen. You can check out our guide to see what this fantastic feature can do for you.

To update the Galaxy A53 and take advantage of this fantastic One UI 5.1 feature, open the Settings app on your phone, access “Software update,” and tap “Download and install.” If you prefer manual updates over a PC, you can also head over to our firmware section (linked above) and download the update files as soon as they’re available.
