Goldman Sachs to review Apple Card credit limit decision process

Towards the end of last week, Apple was put on blast when several Apple Card users shared that their spouses received a significantly lower credit limit. The issue soon ballooned as more early adopters shared they went through a similar experience and now Goldman Sachs, which is the issuing bank for Apple Card came out with a response claiming they will begin re-evaluating user credit lines.

The New York State Department of Financial Services already launched an investigation into the issue and according to the statement from Goldman CEO Carey Halio, the problem at hand is not gender-related.

The statement also urges all Apple Card users to contact Goldman Sachs’s support to re-evaluate their credit score. Apple Card has a highly secretive algorithm that prevents users from seeing how their credit score is put together. Meanwhile, Apple is yet to issue an official response to the issue.
