Geo unveils budget-friendly laptops optimized for Minecraft

Minecraft is one of the world’s most popular video games, having recently surpassed 140 million monthly users. Soon, players will have new budget-friendly options from Geo to play Minecraft.

Geo, a UK-based tech company, announced the GeoBook 120 Minecraft Edition, which will exclusively be available at Best Buy starting this month. The GeoBook 120 Minecraft Edition features a green exterior and WASD keys with green lettering. The laptop is optimized to play Minecraft and comes with a copy of Minecraft, bonus digital content, and Minecraft stickers. The GeoBook 120 Minecraft Edition will be available for approximately $260.

The GeoBook 120 Minecraft Edition comes in Windows 10 S Mode, though you can easily turn off S Mode if you’d like. It also comes with a year of Microsoft 365 Personal.

In addition to the GeoBook 120 Minecraft Edition, Best Buy will carry the GeoBook 240 ($399) and GeoBook 120 ($239). The GeoBoook 240 is a 14-inch laptop with an Intel Pentium Quad-core processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 128GB SSD. The GeoBook 120 is a 12.5-inch notebook that comes in hot pink, arctic purple, or cool blue.

All of the Geo laptops that will be available at Best Buy are built to be affordable while also providing a good Minecraft experience. They don’t have as much power as the best laptops for Minecraft, but they will allow people to jump into the game at a much more affordable price. The minimum requirements for Minecraft are relatively low, but just taper your expectations based on the specs of a PC you purchase.

Geo states that the GeoBook 120 Minecraft Edition will be available this month and that all of the laptops should launch at Best Buy “in time for back-to-school.”
