Gears Tactics is single-player, contains no microtransactions

Gears Tactics is the fast-paced, turn-based strategy game from one of the most acclaimed video game franchises. Outnumbered and fighting for survival, recruit and command your squad to hunt down an evil mastermind who makes monsters. The game is a lot like XCOM where you have to manage various aspects of your team.

Many gamers have been asking The Coalition about the title. On Twitter, Studio Head Rod Fergusson said, “For those asking, Gears Tactics is single-player and has no microtransactions. Not even cosmetic ones. Everything is earned in game.”

This is great news and should appease a lot of gamers interested in the title. According to Microsoft, Gears Tactics is coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC, Steam, and Windows 10 on April 28, 2020. No word was given if it’s hitting Xbox One later.
