Gawk at these brilliant Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 concept images

Samsung is expected to launch two new foldable smartphones—Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3—in Q3 of 2021. Yesterday, their images were leaked for the first time, throwing some light on their design and what to expect from Samsung’s next set of foldable phones. Based on those leaked images, some designers have created concept images of the two upcoming Galaxy Z series devices.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 features a glass and metal body with a triple-camera setup at the rear. The camera assembly’s design is quite different from what we’ve seen on the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and even the Galaxy S21 series. The vertically-placed cameras are expected to be 12MP primary, 12MP ultrawide, and 3x telephoto camera. Both displays on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 are rumored to feature a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone will also be compatible with the S Pen, but there will be no silo inside the phone to store the stylus. The foldable phone will reportedly be powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 will see a major design change as well, as depicted by the concept renders published by LetsGoDigital. Compared to the 1.1-inch cover display on the Galaxy Z Flip, its successor will reportedly feature a much bigger 1.83-inch display, which will make it easier to interact with notifications and control music playback. Moreover, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is said to feature a 120Hz display and Snapdragon 888 chipset, similar to most other high-end smartphones from Samsung. The company appears to be sticking with the dual-camera setup, though.
