Galaxy Z Fold 4 to fix a huge problem with Samsung’s costly foldables!
The Galaxy Z Fold series represents the pinnacle of Samsung’s mobile technologies. At least considering its premium price. But despite this, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 doesn’t have the best cameras around. Far from it. Thankfully, Samsung is likely to fix this issue with the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 later this year.
Samsung might finally upgrade the camera system on its Galaxy Z Fold series in line with its other 2022 flagships. As a result, the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 4 will reportedly be equipped with the same 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom as the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra — according to our colleagues at GalaxyClub.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the most ambitious foldable phone on the market. It even has the world’s first Under-Panel Camera, but the rear-facing setup has always been sub-par compared to the Z Fold 3’s price and even other non-foldable Galaxy flagships.
Thankfully, Samsung may do something about this later in 2022, and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 could become Samsung’s first foldable phone to have a camera system that matches its other premium qualities.
Galaxy Z Fold 4 could also borrow its selfie sensor from the S22/S22+
In addition to a new telephoto camera, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 should also feature a 10MP selfie shooter, as per the recent report. However, it’s unclear whether this 10MP selfie camera is the same as the one found on the Galaxy S22 and S22+.
Samsung has been keeping quiet about the Galaxy Z Fold 4 so far, but the company is expected to unveil the device at Unpacked in August-September.
Previous rumors suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will also be Samsung’s first foldable device to boast an S Pen holster, and the foldable display could feature an improved ‘Super’ UTG (Ultra-Thin Glass) substrate. So far, the Z Fold 4 surely sounds promising, so here’s hoping that Samsung will deliver and even exceed our expectations. We’ll keep you up to speed as soon as we find out more.
