Galaxy Z Flip 5’s bigger cover screen to be eclipsed by Motorola Razr+

Motorola will soon launch two new clamshell foldable smartphones: Moto Razr 2023 and Moto Razr+. The Moto Razr 2023 will succeed Moto Razr 2022, and the Moto Razr+ will be a more advanced version. So far, the company has released a few teasers of the devices, hinting at their design. Today, one of Lenovo’s top-level executives, Chen Jin, has revealed that the Moto Razr+ will have a 3.5-inch cover display, which means that it could be bigger than that of the Galaxy Z Flip 5.

According to the teaser image posted by the company’s official, the cover display of the Moto Razr+ will span from one end to the other end of the device, fully utilizing the device’s footprint, which will remain the same as the Razr 2022. What’s even more interesting is that the display will also cover the two cameras and an LED flash at the rear, just like displays on conventional smartphones housing the selfie cameras in a punch-hole. At least, that’s what the teaser suggests. A few renders have already popped up on the Internet demonstrating how it would look, and it looks futuristic.

Galaxy Z Flip 5 will reportedly have a 3.8-inch cover display

A few weeks ago, it was revealed that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will come with a bigger cover screen, measuring 3.4 inches diagonally. It means that the Moto Razr+ cover display will be bigger than that of the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The cover display of Samsung’s upcoming foldable doesn’t cover the cameras, which might actually be a good thing as it would allow cases to cover more area and prevent the phone from getting scratched.

Considering that Motorola has been teasing the Moto Razr and the Moto Razr+, the launch of these devices seems imminent. You can expect them to hit the market in May. Samsung isn’t fooling around, either. The South Korean tech giant is rushing the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5, and these foldable devices might hit the market sooner than anticipated. According to a recent leak, the next Galaxy Unpacked event, where the two devices are expected to launch, will take place in the last week of July.
