Galaxy Z Flip 5G gets One UI 3.0 update

Samsung has started rolling out the update to One UI 3.0 for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G, one of its foldable phones of 2020. A few days ago, the company released the same update for the Galaxy S20 FE as well. The company is not known for being proactive with regular and quick updates. This is why it’s refreshing to see them change the trend, especially for its high-end foldable device.

As reported by SamMobile, the latest software update for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G also brings the Android 11 operating system. Moreover, the firmware arrives with the build version F707BXXU1CTL6, based on the latest December security patch. Currently, the update can only be installed by selected Galaxy Z Flip 5G users living in Switzerland. Also, the new version of the software is distributed in waves, meaning not everyone will get it at the same time.

If you want to check whether or not the update has reached your Galaxy Z Flip 5G, you just need to go to settings and the software updates section. If it is available, you can download the OTA firmware, if not, it would be arriving in the next few weeks.

One UI 3.0 provides even more simplicity, according to Samsung. Within the interface, the functions you use most – such as the start screen, lock screen, notifications, and Quick Panel – are visually highlighted. New effects, such as dim / blur for notifications, ensure that you can focus quickly and the new widgets keep the home screen clear.

One UI 3.0 also comes with an improved zoom on photos and better autofocus and auto exposure. In addition, the Gallery app is getting an update so that you can find the right photos faster. In One UI 3.0, you can also map out your digital habits and adjust them if necessary. This way you can quickly see how your screen time compares from week to week and you can decide to put your phone away more often.
