Galaxy Watch 4 One UI 4.5 update releasing worldwide soon with all these features!

Last month, Samsung released the first beta version of One UI Watch 4.5 for the Galaxy Watch 4 series. The company has now announced that the stable version of One UI Watch 4.5 will soon be released to the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.

The South Korean firm is bringing a better typing experience, an easier way to make calls, enhanced accessibility features, and more customizable watch faces to its latest smartwatches. The company also revealed that One UI Watch 4.5 is based on Wear OS 3.5. Earlier, the smartwatches were running on Wear OS 3.2.

With One UI Watch 4.5, the Galaxy Watch 4 series gets a full QWERTY keyboard layout with swipe typing. It is also getting an easier way to switch between typing, handwriting, and voice dictation. When paired with a smartphone with dual-SIM capability, the Galaxy Watch 4 will display SIM options when dialing a number. You can even set a preferred SIM for calls.

Samsung has also improved watch face customizations. You can now create multiple instances of the same watch face and save those instances separately. For example, you can create three instances of a watch face, each featuring different backgrounds, colors, and complications (watch widgets). You can even set how long temporary functions, such as notifications and volume, stay on the screen.

The Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic also get new accessibility features, including contrast, font size, hue, tap duration, and repeated touch input options. Users can also remove the blur effect and transparency. Samsung has also added the customization of left/right audio balance for connected wireless audio devices.

The One UI Watch 4.5 update for the Galaxy Watch 4 series will be released in Q3 2022, which is to say it should start rolling out in the next few days. It will also come pre-installed on Samsung’s upcoming smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
