Galaxy Watch 3, Galaxy BudsX confirmed through Galaxy Wearable app

Samsung is expected to launch a bunch of new products during its August 5 event. Apart from the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Fold 2, the South Korea tech giant is also expected to unveil new accessories, including its next-generation smartwatch and the bean-shaped truly wireless earphones. Now, these two wearables have been confirmed via the Galaxy Wearable app. There was a lot of confusion regarding the name of Samsung’s next smartwatch. Most of us had assumed that the company would go with the Galaxy Watch 2 branding, but the wearable’s NBTC certification pointed towards the Galaxy Watch 3 moniker. Now, it looks like the company will call its upcoming smartwatch Galaxy Watch 3. The folks over at XDA Developers were able to dig out an image asset that specifically mentions Galaxy Watch 3, essentially confirming the name of the smartwatch. An image asset of the bean-shaped truly wireless earphones was also found in the Galaxy Wearable app’s contents. They originally leaked two months ago, and it was reported that they could be launched as Galaxy BudsX. The corresponding image has a file name that has ‘buds_live’ appended towards the end. Hence, there’s a possibility of the earphones being called Galaxy Buds Live. These earphones are expected to feature ANC (active noise cancellation). The South Korean smartphone maker doesn’t usually add assets related to its upcoming products in its apps until they’re closer to their actual launch. So, we can be pretty sure that Samsung would launch the Galaxy Watch 3 and the Galaxy Buds Live (or Galaxy BudsX) during its next major event that will take place in August. The company is also expected to launch the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G during its August 5 event.
