Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ inches closer to launch, reveals upgraded hardware

Last week, Samsung unveiled three high-end tablets: Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. These new devices have an upgraded processor and a tougher body. But the company is planning to launch more tablets over the next few months, and one of them is the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ which was leaked a few months ago and it is now inching closer to launch.

The Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ appears to be closer to its announcement as it has passed through the mandatory FCC certification (via MySmartPrice) in the US. The large-screen tablet is expected to feature a 12.4-inch display, similar to the Galaxy Tab S7 FE. However, it will bring upgraded internals. It was revealed a few weeks ago that the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ will use the Exynos 1380 chipset that powers the Galaxy A34 and the Galaxy A54. It is faster than the Snapdragon 750G that powers the Galaxy Tab S7 FE’s 5G version and as powerful as the Snapdragon 778G used in the 5G version of the Galaxy Tab S7 FE.

The FCC certification of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ reveals that the upcoming tablet has GPS, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3. While Wi-Fi 6 was also present on the Galaxy Tab S7 FE, Bluetooth 5.3 is newer, and it brings more efficient wireless connections. The upcoming tablet also appears to have a dual-camera setup, lining up with the leaked renders of the device.

As per the information in the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+’s FCC certification, the device has two models: SM-X610 and SM-X616B. The former is the Wi-Fi-only version, while the latter is the 5G version. Previous reports claim that the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ will have stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and an S Pen. Its battery has model number EB-BX818ABY.
