Galaxy Tab S7 is getting the December 2022 security update

Last month, the Galaxy Tab S7 received the Android 13 update with One UI 5.0 customization. The firmware also brought the latest security update for that month. Exactly a month later, Samsung is rolling out the December 2022 security update to the tablet’s international and South Korean versions.

The latest firmware for the international Wi-Fi and 4G versions of the tablet comes with version T87XXXU2DVL3, which is currently rolled out in Austria and Switzerland. Other countries might also get the update very soon. On the other hand, the firmware for the South Korean variant of the tablet has version T875NKOU2FVL3. The update brings the December 2022 security patch, which fixes 93 security vulnerabilities.

If you are a Galaxy Tab S7 user in any of these regions, your device should notify you about the update. If you haven’t received it, you can check for the update manually by going to Settings » Software updates and clicking on Download and install. You can also download the firmware from our database and install it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S7 alongside the Galaxy Tab S7+ in 2020. Since the device was launched with Android 10, and it is supposed to get three major Android updates, Android 13 is probably the last Android OS update for the device. However, it will keep getting security updates for two more years.
