Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is Samsung’s first tablet to get January 2022 security update

Samsung started rolling out the January 2022 security update two weeks ago, and the Galaxy A51 was the first phone to get it. Today, the company has released its new security patch to the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite.

The latest security update for the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite comes with firmware version P615XXS4DUL5. The update is currently rolling out in France, but more countries could get the update over the next few days. The update includes the January 2022 security patch that fixes dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities.

If you are a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite user in France, you might have received the update notification already. If you haven’t received it yet, you can check for the update manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware from our database and flash it manually.

The South Korean firm had launched the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite in May 2020 with Android 10-based One UI 2. The tablet received the Android 11-based One UI 3 update in early 2021. It will get the Android 12 update sometime in the first half of this year.
