Galaxy S22 is getting March 2022 security update in the US

The Galaxy S22 series was the first to get the March 2022 security update. However, the update was limited to Asian and European markets, at least for the first few weeks. Yesterday, the update was released to the carrier-locked models of the Galaxy S22 in the US. Now, Samsung has started rolling out the update to carrier-unlocked models as well.

The latest software update for the carrier-unlocked models of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra has firmware version S90xU1UEU1AVC8. The update brings the March 2022 security patch that fixes over 50 security vulnerabilities. It also includes device stability improvements and general bug fixes.

If you are a Galaxy S22 series smartphone user in the US, and if you’re using a carrier-unlocked model, you should now be able to download the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

We don’t have the full changelog of the update just yet, so we are not sure if it brings the option to disable GOS performance limiting. The update is now rolling out on Bluegrass Cellular, C-Spire, and T-Mobile’s networks in the US. More networks will get the update within the next few days.
