Galaxy S21 FE gets Android 13 in the US two months after other markets

Two months ago, Samsung released the Android 13 update to the Galaxy S21 FE for the first time. However, back then, the update was limited to the international version of the smartphone. Today, the update is finally rolling out to the US carrier-unlocked version of the smartphone.

The Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for the Galaxy S21 FE’s USA carrier-unlocked variant comes with firmware version G990U1UEU4DVLC. The update also includes the December 2022 security patch rather than the January 2023 security update. Right now, the new update is available on all US carrier networks.

A few weeks ago, the US carrier-locked version of the Galaxy S21 FE received the Android 13 update with firmware version G990USQU4DVK5/G990USQS4DVL1/G990USQU4DVLC, depending on the carrier.

If you are a Galaxy S21 FE user in the US, you can now check for the Android 13 update by navigating to Settings » Software update and clicking on Download and install. If you don’t want to wait for the update, you can download the new firmware file for your device from our firmware database and flash it manually.
