Galaxy S20 FE US carrier units get the Android 12 One UI 4.0 update

True to the Fan Edition label, the Galaxy S20 FE is enjoying a similar treatment to the rest of the Galaxy S20 flagship series, and it’s getting the latest Android 12 One UI 4.0 update in more regions. After the Exynos variant, it’s now time for Galaxy S20 FE US carrier units to enjoy One UI 4.0.

The Android 12 update is live for Galaxy S20 FE US carrier models from T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon. AT&T hasn’t joined the One UI 4.0 party as of this writing.

Customers should receive an update notification at any moment. If you haven’t yet, you could try to trigger the Android 12 update process on your Galaxy S20 FE by opening the Settings app and navigating to Software update. You can also check the firmware section on our website, where you can download official Samsung firmware files for free and use them to update your phone manually.

Get ready for a colorful refreshed experience

Android 12 is the latest major update from Google, and One UI 4.0 is Samsung’s newest proprietary skin for said OS version. Galaxy S20 FE customers can expect a refined user interface and reworked Samsung apps, as well as new ways to personalize the experience through Material You color themes and redesigned widgets.

You can check this list if you want to keep track of where the Android 12 One UI 4.0 update is available for the Galaxy S20 series outside the USA — including the Fan Edition model. Likewise, can check our One UI 4.0 hands-on video below for a taste of the latest update. We showcase the firmware on a Galaxy S21 Ultra, but the software experience should be similar on the Galaxy S20 FE.
