Galaxy S20 FE is the latest Samsung phone to get July 2022 security update

Samsung has released the July 2022 security update to one more smartphone, the Galaxy S20 FE. Both LTE and 5G variants of the smartphone have now started getting the new security update in Asian and European countries.

The new software update for the Galaxy S20 FE comes with firmware version G780GXXS3CVF3 in Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. In European countries, the update is rolling out to the Galaxy S20 FE 5G with firmware version G781BXXS4FVF3. The new update brings the July 2022 security patch, improved device stability, and a few bug fixes.

If you live in any regions mentioned above, you can check for the new software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file for your phone from our database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 FE in the second half of 2020 with Android 10 on board. The phone received the Android 11-based One UI 3 update in early 2021 and the Android 12-based One UI 4 update earlier this year. It will get the Android 13 update sometime towards the end of this year or early 2023.
