Galaxy S20 FE 5G users in India can now install One UI 5.1 update

Last month, Samsung released the One UI 5.1 update to the Galaxy S20 FE 5G surprisingly fast. However, the update was initially limited to the European market. Now, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G has started getting the One UI 5.1 update in India and various other countries.

The One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G comes with firmware version G781BXXU4HWB1 in India. The update has a download size of around 1GB, and it brings the February 2023 security patch to the smartphone. The update will be released in more markets over the next few weeks. One UI 5.1 is probably the last major One UI update for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G.

You can download the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and clicking on Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Galaxy S20 FE 5G One UI 5.1 update: What’s new?

The One UI 5.1 update makes it easier to change the selfie camera tone. The Gallery app brings a way to view and edit EXIF information of image and video files. It also brings improved image remastering performance and Shared Family Album (up to 5GB files). You can search for more than one person or subject at a time in the Gallery app.

The Weather app now has a new dynamic widget, and all the relevant information is visible at first glance. It also brings an hourly precipitation graph. Samsung DeX offers easier split-screen window resizing, thanks to the new window divider. Modes And Routines gets more options and conditions, including wallpaper, Quick Share, display touch sensitivity, ringtone, and font style. You also get music recommendations from Spotify in the Smart Suggestions widget.

Samsung has added a new battery widget that displays the battery charge levels of the smartphone and its connected accessories. Samsung Internet has common search results for bookmarks and browsing history. For easier split-screen multitasking, the phone displays frequently opened apps first. You can choose where your screenshots should be saved.
