Galaxy S10 gets its quarterly dose of security update with October 2022 patch

The Galaxy S10 series has started getting the October 2022 security update. Samsung started rolling out its new security update three weeks ago, starting with the Galaxy S22 series. Later, the Galaxy S21 and the Galaxy S20 FE received the update as well.

The latest software update for the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and the Galaxy S10+ comes with firmware version G97xFXXUGHVJ1. The update is currently rolling out in Switzerland, and we expect it to be available in other European countries within the next few days. The new software should be available widely across the world before the end of this month. In the US, though, the update could arrive early next month.

The October 2022 security patch fixes over 47 security vulnerabilities, according to Samsung’s security documentation. The update might also bring general bug fixes and stability improvements.

If you are a Galaxy S10 user in Switzerland, you can now download and install the new software update on your phone by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
