Galaxy Note 20 starts getting January 2022 security update

Samsung has started rolling out the latest security update to the international variants of the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Earlier, the update was released to the unlocked units of those smartphones in the US.

The latest software update for the 5G variants of the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra comes with firmware version N98xBXXS3EULH. For the LTE variants, the update has firmware version N98xFXXS3EULH. It includes the January 2022 security patch that fixes dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. The update is available in the following countries:

  • Austria
  • Bulgaria
  • Caucasus countries
  • Croatia
  • The Czech Republic
  • France
  • Germany
  • Hungary
  • Italy
  • Kazakhstan
  • Luxembourg
  • The Netherlands
  • Poland
  • Portugal
  • Romania
  • Russia
  • Slovenia
  • Southeast Europe
  • Switzerland
  • Ukraine
  • Uzbekistan

If you are a Galaxy Note 20 series smartphone user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
