Galaxy Note 20 September update in Korea and UAE improves camera
Last week the Galaxy Note 20 series received its first firmware update and the September 2020 security patch in most markets except for South Korea and the UAE. The Galaxy Note 20 duo in these regions is now catching up with the rest of the world, but interestingly enough, their firmware update is accompanied by a different changelog.
The latest Galaxy Note 20 update in South Korea carries firmware version N98xNKSU1ATI2 and according to the changelog, it brings improvements to the Messages and Camera apps. The changelog doesn’t explain exactly what has changed, which means these improvements are applied under the hood. As detailed in our reviews, the out-of-the-box camera experience offered by the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra was excellent; however, additional improvements are not only welcomed but also expected given Samsung’s recent history of improving its mobile cameras with firmware updates post-launch.
Hopefully, whatever camera fixes or updates the Galaxy Note 20 series has received in Korea and the UAE will be made available in other markets soon. The September 2020 security patch has already been released so maybe these improvements will be included elsewhere with the October patch.
