Galaxy Note 10 carrier variants start getting August 2021 security update in the US

Samsung has released a new software update to the carrier-locked versions of the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10+ in the US. This update carries firmware version N97xUSQU7FUH3 and includes the August 2021 security patch. The update is currently rolling out on Comcast and Xfinity Mobile networks.

The new update hasn’t been released yet on Sprint and T-Mobile networks, but looking at the update history, those networks should get the update by the end of this week. Samsung had revealed that the August 2021 patch includes fixes for 40 vulnerabilities related to privacy and security. The update could also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements.

If you are a Galaxy Note 10 or Galaxy Note 10+ user on Comcast or Xfinity Mobile’s network in the US, you might have already received a notification of the new update. If you haven’t received the update yet, you can check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware from our firmware section and flash it manually.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy Note 10 series in mid-2019 with Android 9 Pie-based One UI. The smartphones received the Android 10 update early last year and the Android 11 update in December 2020. The Galaxy Note 10 series got access to the One UI 3.1 update earlier this year.
