Galaxy M62 gets the October 2021 security update
After releasing the October 2021 security update to mid-range smartphones like the Galaxy A8 (2018), Galaxy A50, Galaxy A52, Galaxy F62, and the Galaxy M30s, Samsung has released the new security patch to the Galaxy M62. The mid-range smartphone is now getting the latest software update in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
The Galaxy M62’s new software update comes with firmware version M625FXXU2AUI2 and includes the October 2021 security patch. Samsung had mentioned earlier this month that its latest patch fixes more than 60 vulnerabilities in Galaxy smartphones and tablets. While we don’t have an official changelog just yet, the update could also bring general bug fixes and stability improvements.
If you are a Galaxy M62 user in any of the markets mentioned above, you can check for the software update by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. If you have experience flashing firmware on Galaxy smartphones, you can also try downloading the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flashing it on your device.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy M62 in Q1 2021 with Android 11-based One UI 3.1 software. The phone is currently listed under its quarterly software update schedule, and it will get at least two major Android OS updates.
