Galaxy M33 5G inches closer to launch with Blutooth SIG certification
Over the past few weeks, a lot of evidence about a mid-range, 5G-ready Galaxy M33 has emerged online. Its Geekbench listing suggested that it could run an Exynos 1200 SoC. A battery upgrade is in the works, too, by the looks of it. The Galaxy M33 5G is now one step closer to launch.
The mid-range smartphone has shown up on the Bluetooth SIG website bearing model numbers SM-M336B and SM-M336B_DS (DS=dual-SIM). As always, Bluetooth listings aren’t very spec-heavy, but this one tells us that the Galaxy M33 5G will support the Bluetooth 5.1 standard.
Based on what we know so far, the Galaxy M33 5G is slated to bring forth several upgrades over its predecessor, the Galaxy M32 5G. For starters, the TFT screen on the latter gets upgraded to AMOLED, alongside the primary camera sensor. It appears to be an amalgamation of the non-5G Galaxy M32 and its 5G sibling.
It is hard to tell when Samsung plans on unveiling the Galaxy M33 5G, but it shouldn’t be long, given the laundry list of certifications it has received. A March 2022 unveil seems the most likely. Whether or not a non-5G variant will be launched alongside it remains to be seen, but there has been no evidence of its existence so far.
