The Galaxy Fit 2 was unveiled a few weeks ago, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 2. The budget activity and fitness tracker is now available for pre-order in the UK. It is priced at £49, and it is available in two colors: Black and Scarlet. Samsung will start shipping the Galaxy Fit 2 to pre-order customers starting October 1, 2020.
Samsung’s new affordable fitness tracker is a successor to the Galaxy Fit and offers slightly better features. The Galaxy Fit 2 sports a 1.1-inch AMOLED display (126×294 pixels) that’s protected behind a 3D glass. It features a silicon strap and comes with an IP68-certified design for dust and water resistance (up to 50m). It comes with over 70 beautiful watch faces.
The Galaxy Fit 2 features an accelerometer, gyro, optical heart rate monitor, and sleep tracking. It can automatically track five types of workouts: running, walking, dynamic workout, elliptical trainer, and rowing. It features 2MB RAM, 32MB ROM, and Bluetooth 5.1. It can control music, mirror notifications from the smartphone, and even lets you send quick replies to notifications.
The South Korean firm has even embedded a feature that reminds you to wash your hands regularly to stay free of germs and viruses. Samsung claims that the 159mAh battery inside the Galaxy Fit 2 can last up to 21 days on low usage. However, the typical battery life is rated at 15 days. It is compatible with Android and iOS smartphones.
