Galaxy Book 3 series official renders and spec sheets leak

Renders of the upcoming Galaxy Book 3 have emerged, along with more spec lists seemingly pulled from official documents/marketing material. Needless to say, the Book 3 Ultra is a beast, featuring RTX 4070 graphics and a 16-inch AMOLED display. And despite the “Ultra” moniker, prospective buyers should be happy to learn that the laptop doesn’t have a display notch, such as the one they’d find on the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra tablet.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Book 3 360 is a 2-in-1 convertible laptop with a touch screen and S Pen support. It, too, has an AMOLED display, but it is smaller at 13.3 inches. The device has an Intel Iris XE graphics chip rather than an Nvidia RTX.

Galaxy Book 3 Ultra specifications reconfirmed

The 16-inch Galaxy Book 3 Ultra has a full-sized keyboard with a numpad, which is both a blessing and a curse. On the plus side, you get a full keyboard. On the not-so-bright side, it means that Galaxy Book 3 Ultra users who type a lot will have to keep their hands towards the left side of the notebook most of the time rather than keeping them centered. And, of course, it also means that the touchpad is not centered.

Another full spec sheet also emerged along with the renders above (via @GaryeonHan), confirming that the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra is a beast of a laptop, as far as raw hardware goes. It features a 13th-generation Intel Core I9 processor, 32GB of LPDDR5 memory, a 1TB NVMe SSD, and an Nvidia RTX 4070 GDDR6 8GB graphics card.

Galaxy Book 3 360 design and specifications

The Galaxy Book 3 360 has a 13.3-inch AMOLED Display, a 13th-generation Intel Core i5 CPU, 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB of NVMe storage, and an Intel Iris Xe GPU.

Since it is smaller, the Galaxy Book 3 360 doesn’t have a full-size keyboard with a numpad, which should be more comfortable for typists on the go. But despite the lack of a numpad, the Book 3 360 still doesn’t have a fully-centered touchpad. It’s leaning more toward the left, which probably isn’t the best design choice.

As a convertible laptop, the Galaxy Book 3 can be used as a regular notebook or as a Windows tablet with S Pen support.

Other specs, and when will the Book 3 series be released?

Other features available for both models include Smart Amp, two 5W speakers tuned by AKG, Dolby Atmos, a 1080p web camera, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.1. And as expected, the Galaxy Book 3 series will take advantage of deeper connectivity with Samsung’s mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches. It will also offer some Samsung-specific apps and services like Samsung Notes, Quick Share, Bixby, and Gallery.

Samsung’s Unpacked event is just around the corner, and the Galaxy Book 3 series will be unveiled on February 1. Prices are unknown, but customers can reserve the laptop online and earn $50 in Samsung Credit.
