Galaxy A72 5G full exterior design revealed by leaked caseless renders

Even though we’re only a couple of weeks away from the end of 2020, the rumor mill rarely stops churning out new bits of information pertaining to the mobile market and as a result, the Galaxy A72 5G is back in the news thanks to a new series of leaked renders.

This time the phone’s exterior design isn’t covered by a protective case but the renders tell a similar story as before. The Galaxy A72 5G seemingly has four rear-facing cameras instead of five, and the fourth unit is a small depth sensor that almost blends in entirely with the camera bump. The latter has a rectangular shape and appears to be covered in glass – or so-called Glasstic. The back panel will also get a Glasstic treatment according @OnLeaks via Voice, and the phone has a metal frame and physical buttons on the right edge.

As for the cameras themselves, our sources tell us that the Galaxy A72 5G might feature a 12MP ultra-wide shooter as well as 5MP macro and depth sensors. There’s not enough information to go by regarding the main camera but there’s reason to suspect that it might have a resolution of at least 64MP.

The Galaxy A72 5G should boast a 6.7-inch flat display with an Infinity-O cutout for the selfie camera. The phone measures 165 x 77.4mm and its profile clocks in at 8.1mm without the camera bump, or 9.9mm with it. The fingerprint sensor is hidden behind the display and the lower edge of the phone does indeed accommodate a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The original Galaxy A71 was unveiled in December so there is hope that the Galaxy A72 5G might make an official appearance next month. Samsung has yet to reveal any launch plans for the device, and time will tell if the Galaxy A72 5G will represent the best the Galaxy A series has to offer in 2021 or if the company has another, more premium model in mind.
